CCU-189/B Impulse Cartridge (DODIC JP40) The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis to Applied Energy Technology Corp. (AETC). The NAICS is 325920. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material facilities (except for items listed as Government Furnished Information (GFI) or Government Furnished Material (GFM)), and facilities to manufacture the CCU-189/B sub-assemblies and cartridges. The contractor shall also perform all the required sub-assembly testing and in-process inspections defined in the Technical Data Package (TDP). AETC is the current and only source with the proven and currently validated manufacturing capabilities to produce the JP40 Impulse Cartridge that meets all government performance and safety requirements, including HERO-Safe standards, within the timeframe dictated by operational necessity. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. This sources sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published.
